Dave is the lead pastor of St. Paul Lutheran. He serves St. Paul primarily through preaching, teaching, and leadership development. Dave graduated from Concordia University Irvine before going on to earn his M.Div at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. In his spare time he enjoys playing soccer with his kids, reading, and listening to music. He and his lovely wife Stephanie have four great children – Oliver, Scarlett, Quinn, and Zachary.

Joe was born in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, and raised in Del Rio, TX. He graduated high school in 1986, joined the US Air Force in 1987, and is a Desert Storm veteran. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Technology Management, a Masters of Business Administration, and a Masters in Project Management. He works for the FAA as an Avionics Safety and Airworthiness Inspector. Joe is a student at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in their Center for Hispanic Studies and serves as the Vicar at St. Paul Lutheran Church in San Antonio, TX. "Soy su Vicario y estoy para servir."

Carlos (Charles) Boerger and Sharon (Richter) were both born and raised in small towns in Texas. They got married in 1972 and have four children, along with their spouses, and eight grandchildren. Carlos attended multiple seminaries and completed internships in Hispanic congregations before graduating from Concordia Theological Seminary in 1977. Since then, they have been actively involved in serving the Lord at St. Paul congregation, taking on various roles to help the church grow and reach out to the surrounding Hispanic population. In retirement, they remain committed to serving the Lord and seeking opportunities to continue spreading Jesus' love.

Jim was born and raised in Menno, S.D. He attended Concordia College in Seward, Nebraska, graduating in 1964. His first call led him to a Music Ministry position at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ft. Worth, TX. In 1967, Jim relocated to San Antonio, TX, where he assumed the roles of organist and choir director at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Born and raised in Northern California. After attending California Concordia College and Valparaiso University for Deaconess training, she served an internship in Northern California. Graduating in 1974 with a BA in Theology, her career led her to the Texas District Mexican American Training Program before returning to Texas for youth ministry. Joining St. Paul in 1978, she balanced roles as a part-time day care teacher and part-time in Hispanic ministry. Throughout her tenure, she juggled various responsibilities, eventually focusing primarily on bookkeeping until her retirement in 2021. Continuing her ministry, she now leads women’s Bible study groups and facilitates a Grief Group.

Suzanne, born in Austin, TX, spent her early years on Bergstrom Air Force Base before her family relocated to Universal City, TX, following her father's retirement from the Air Force. Graduating from Samuel Clemens HS in 1998, she then attended business school for Administrative Assistant training. At the age of 21, Suzanne met her husband Jason, and they married on April 4, 2003, starting a family together with four children: Jason Jr., Jeremy, Jasmine, and Jada.

Roxanna grew up in south Austin. While attending The University of Texas, she met Ross in volleyball class. They married in 1986 and moved to San Antonio for Roxanna’s first teaching job. She joined St. Paul where Ross had attended since 1969 when his dad was called here to serve as pastor. Their twins, Luke and Angelina, were born on Epiphany in 1995. Roxanna served as a 7th grade science teacher for 33 years, wrote curriculum for NISD, trained new teachers and was a science department coordinator. Now retired, Roxanna is the Congregational Collective coordinator at St. Paul. This program is an initiative of the HEB Foundation to help faith communities support mental wellness.

Michael Cruz was born and raised in western Honduras. In 2021, he moved to the US to pursue his desire to become a minister. Since then, he has served the community at St. Paul as an intern. His main responsibility is caring for the young adult ministry. He intends on going to seminary in the upcoming years and has a desire to write and deliver relevant theological and cultural content for young adults.
