Palm Sunday
All Glory Laud and Honor (442)
All glory, laud, and honor To You, Redeemer, King,
To whom the lips of children, Made sweet hosannas ring.
You are the King of Israel, And David’s royal Son,
Now in the Lord’s Name coming, Our King and Blessèd One. All glory, laud, and honor To You, Redeemer, King,
To whom the lips of children, Made sweet hosannas ring.
The company of angels Is praising You on high, And we with all creation In chorus make reply.
All glory, laud, and honor To You, Redeemer, King,
To whom the lips of children, Made sweet hosannas ring.
The multitude of pilgrims With palms before You went: Our praise and prayers and anthems Before You we present. All glory, laud, and honor To You, Redeemer, King,
To whom the lips of children, Made sweet hosannas ring.
To you before Your passion They sang their hymns of praise; To You, now high exalted, Our melody we raise.
All glory, laud, and honor To You, Redeemer, King,
To whom the lips of children, Made sweet hosannas ring.
As You received their praises, Accept the prayers we bring, O Source of ev’ry blessing, Our good and gracious King. All glory, laud, and honor To You, Redeemer, King,
To whom the lips of children, Made sweet hosannas ring.
Invocation
Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.
All Hosanna in the highest!
En el nombre del Padre, y delXHijo, y del Espíritu Santo.
All: Amen.
Confession and Forgiveness
If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us
All: But if we confess our sins, God, who is faithful and just, will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Señor, ten piedad de nosotros.
All: Señor, ten piedad de nosotros.
Cristo, ten piedad de nosotros.
All: Cristo, ten piedad de nosotros.
Señor, ten piedad de nosotros
All: Señor, ten piedad de nosotros.
Silence is Kept
Let us then confess our sins to God our Father:
All Most merciful God, we confess that we are by nature sinful and unclean. We have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved You with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. For the sake of Your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in Your will and walk in Your ways to the glory of Your holy name. Amen.
Almighty God in His mercy has given His Son to die for you and for His sake forgives you all your sins. As a called and ordained servant of Christ, and by His authority, I forgive you all your sins in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
All: Amen.
The Prayer of the Day
The Lord be with you
All: And also with you
Let us pray
All: True and humble king, hailed by the crowd as Messiah: grant us the faith to know you and love you, that we may be found beside you on the way of the cross, which is the path of glory. Amen.

The Scripture Readings
Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. I will take away the chariots from Ephraim and the warhorses from Jerusalem, and the battle bow will be broken. He will proclaim peace to the nations. His rule will extend from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth. As for you, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I will free your prisoners from the waterless pit. Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.
This is the word of the Lord.
All Thanks be to God.
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature[b] of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! Therefore, God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
This is the word of the Lord.
All Thanks be to God
Zechariah 9:9-12
Philippians 2:5-11
The Holy Gospel according to St. John, the 12th chapter.
All Glory to You, O Lord.
Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the festival. They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request. “Sir,” they said, “we would like to see Jesus.” Philip went to tell Andrew; Andrew and Philip in turn told Jesus. Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me. “Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. Father, glorify your name!” Then a voice came from heaven, “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.” The crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered; others said an angel had spoken to him. Jesus said, “This voice was for your benefit, not mine. Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out. And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die. The crowd spoke up, “We have heard from the Law that the Messiah will remain forever, so how can you say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this ‘Son of Man’?” Then Jesus told them, “You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going. Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light.” When he had finished speaking, Jesus left and hid himself from them. Even after Jesus had performed so many signs in their presence, they still would not believe in him. This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet: “Lord, who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” For this reason they could not believe, because, as Isaiah says elsewhere: “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so they can neither see with their eyes, nor understand with their hearts, nor turn—and I would heal them.” Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus’ glory and spoke about him. Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; for they loved human praise more than praise from God.
This is the Gospel of the Lord.
All Praise to you, O Christ.
John 12:20-43
The Apostle’s Creed
All I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by
the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection X of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen
Children’s Sermon
Crown Him with Many Crowns (525)
Crown Him with many crowns, The Lamb upon His throne; Hark how the heav’nly anthem drowns, All music but its own. Awake, my soul, and sing Of Him who died for thee, And hail Him as thy matchless King Through all eternity.
Crown Him the virgin’s Son, The God incarnate born,
Whose arm those crimson trophies won, Which now His brow adorn; Fruit of the mystic rose, Yet of that rose the stem,
The root whence mercy ever flows, The babe of Bethlehem.
Crown Him the Lord of Love, Behold His hands and side, Rich wounds, yet visible above, In beauty glorified.
No angels in the sky Can fully bear that sight,
But down-ward bends their wond’ring eyes At mysteries so bright.
Crown Him the Lord of Life, Who triumphed o’er the grave And rose victorious in the strife, For those He came to save. His glories now we sing, Who died and rose on high, Who died eternal life to bring And lives that death may die.
Crown Him the Lord of heav’n, Enthroned in worlds above, Crown Him the King to whom is giv’n The wondrous name of Love. Crown Him with many crowns As thrones before him fall; Crown Him, ye kings, with many crowns, For He is King of all.

The Offering
The Service of the Sacrament
The Lord be with you.
All And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
All We lift them to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
All It is right to give Him thanks and praise.
It is indeed right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere to give you thanks, holy Father, almighty and eternal God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. For as the time of his passion and resurrection draws near the whole world is called to acknowledge his hidden majesty. The power of the life-giving cross reveals the judgement that has come upon the world and the triumph of Christ crucified. He is the victim who dies no more, the Lamb once slain, who lives forever, our advocate in heaven to plead our cause. As we prepare this week to celebrate the Easter feast with joyful hearts and minds we bless you for your mercy and join with saints and angels forever praising your name
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of Sabaoth adored;
Heaven and earth with full acclaim shout the glory of Your name. Sing hosana in the highest, sing hosana to the Lord;
Truly blest is He who comes in the name of the Lord!
Prayer of Thanksgiving
Blessed are You, Lord of heaven and earth, for You have had mercy on those whom You created and sent Your only-begotten Son into our flesh to bear our sin and be our Savior. With repentant joy, we receive the salvation accomplished for us by the all-availing sacrifice of His body and His blood on the cross. Gathered in the name and the remembrance of Jesus, we beg You, O Lord, to forgive, renew, and strengthen us with Your Word and Spirit. Grant us to faithfully eat His body and drink His blood as He bids us to in His own testament. Gather us together from the ends of the earth to celebrate, with all the faithful, the marriage feast of the Lamb in His kingdom, which has no end. Receive our prayers; deliver and preserve us. To You alone be all glory, honor, and worship, now and forever.
All Amen.
