Please join us as we worship our Lord during this season, focusing on Jesus who gave his life for us as SAVIOR and who, in resurrection from the dead, gives us hope and LIFE! The message of this season is an incredibly important one for all of us!

PALM SUNDAY - Sunday, April 17 (regular Sunday schedule: 9:00 English Worship/ 10:30 Sunday School and Bible Classes/ 11:30 Bilingual Worship.) As we remember the entrance of Jesus into the city of Jerusalem among praises and palm branches that Sunday before his death, we join in those praises as we also raise palm branches, symbols of joy and victory, and sing songs of praise.

HOLY THURSDAY - Thursday, April 21, 7:30 p.m.

Worship with Holy Communion in memory of the occasion of Jesus’ last supper with his disciples before his death... the meal in which he instituted the Lord’s Supper. What a special gift! This service will also include First Communion”for a good size group of our youth.

GOOD FRIDAY - April 22, 7:30 p.m.

This night we remember the cruel death of Jesus by crucifixion... an event in which our God displayed the extent of his love for you and for the world! Jesus’ death at first seemed like a terrible tragedy, but it was destined by God to end in RESURRECTION! God’s plan of rescue for a dying, sin enslaved world was being carried out. Come join us as we remember... and worship our Lord who gave his life for us to set us free!

7:30 a.m. - Early Morning Service of Easter Light on this day of Jesus’ resurrection, to be held in the church. This service will include candles, special music, and also Holy Communion shared together.

8:30 a.m. - Easter breakfast in the gymnasium. Everyone is invited to join us! Free will donations will be accepted which will support our youth ministry programs.

10:00 a.m.- Combined Festival Worship for this Day of Resurrection. This joyful service will be somewhat bilingual with Holy Communion and special music. It will be followed by a sharing of resurrection joy with Easter cascarones, and also children through 5th grade will receive special Easter treats. Let us celebrate the HOPE Jesus has given us!

Please join us for a Walk of Care and become a supporter of St Paul Lutheran Child Development Center. Our St. Paul CDC serves many families in the community in Jesus’ name, including parents and children with special needs. The walk will be a round trip from St. Paul to Mission Concepción and back. Participants are encouraged to enlist the support of as many sponsors as you can for whatever amount of donation they are willing to make. Bring donations with you to the walk. Receive free treats and red balloons as you place the donations in the Wee Care Box. You don’t have to walk if you would rather not, just come and join in the fun and have
refreshments. Your support is needed and appreciated!!

On Friday, April 8, 5:00 - 10:00 p.m. we will hold a five-hour Prayer Vigil at St. Paul. Come anytime during those hours to spend time in prayer in the quiet atmosphere of the church (with soft background music). This is a wonderful opportunity to “be still” in the Lord’s presence and also an important time of prayer ministry for the many we are praying for. You will be given a list of prayer requests that have been turned in plus some scripture passages to focus on. And, of course, you are invited to add your own prayer requests and thanksgivings! Through prayer the Lord involves us in what He is doing! PRAYER REQUESTS for the vigil can be placed in the box at the rear of the church or in the church office. You may also call Lucy at the church office if you have a prayer request. You can sign up to participate in the prayer vigil by putting your name on one of the sheets on the bulletin board in the entrance of the church... OR JUST COME! For more information see Rosemary Bernal, Susie Roberts, Jack Staples, or Pastor Carlos. Please participate in this important ministry opportunity if you can... YOU, also, will be blessed!
